I had a blog accepted by Pay Per Post about a month ago. You are allowed to accept two offers to write posts with links, for which you are paid. The requirements for the links and the minimum number of words in the post are set by the advertiser. I have had one that only required 10 words to be paid $4.00. I have written a couple of posts of 200 words. The best offer I have taken paid $12 for 50 words. You are required to have at least one non-sponsored post between sponsored posts. And you can use a Blogitive or Blogsvertise post as the filler blog between Pay Per Post articles.
A blog must have been active for at least 90 days and have steady entries. There cannot be a gap of 30 days or more between entries. It takes a bit of work to prepare the blog for acceptance, but I do not spend time reading other blogs or commenting outside Writing Up. This is still my favorite place to read and write because of the community aspect. Blogs here are not acceptable for Pay Per Post, so you will have to establish a blog on another site. Mine are on Blogspot.
After having ten posts approved by the advertisers on Pay Per Post you are allowed to add another blog. I have done that. That means I can accept 2 tasks for each blog, doubling my daily income. I have just submitted a third blog. If I can take six assignments per day it could become some nice extra spending money. If each post paid only $5, that would be $30 each day. If I do that for 20 or 25 days a month, it is a significant drop in the bucket. And when you add the more than $400 earned from Blogitive and Blogsvertise, it is a nice payday.
Some of you may see this as mercenary, and I suppose it is. But if I can add that amount to a retirement income, perhaps my wife will be able to retire early. She is even thinking of beginning a blog or two that would expand the cash flow. It is pretty appealing to us.
And I thought some of you might want to know.
There is a new blog site that has been established that will hopefully recapture the community spirit that was developed on WritingUp.com. The site is called Communati.com. I heard about its establishment from Sharon Hurley Hall. The webmaster is a friend of gracepub. There are only a few bloggers sigend up so far, the two ladies I mentioned, Pinhole and myself, along with the webmaster, marko.
I like the ideas I have read, and the place looks a lot like our old WritingUp home. I hope many of the rest of my old neighbors will find their way to Communati.com. If you decide to sign up, here is my Referral link.
And here is a link to my New Familyfunadfaith blog.
have been blogging on Writingup.com for more than a year. I have enjoyed it immensley, and made some good virtual friends in that blog community. The site has had all sorts of difficulties in the past few weeks, causing a migration away from the site by a number of the writers. One of them, known as Keywoman 1, has begun a new group on Myspace to try to recapture the magic of our community. It is called WritingDown! Here is a link to check it out. WritingDown
