Giants?

I went to services last night. When I entered, the Super Bowl game score was 7-3, New England. I had predicted that the Pats would win 42-26. When I got home I turned the game, the score was still 7-3. I watched the rest of the game and witnessed the outcome. I know the score board read Giants 17, Patriots 14. But I a still not sure the Giants can beat the Pats!

PATS to the Super Bowl

I was hoping the New England Patriots would win the AFC Championship and go to the Super Bowl with their unbeaten streak on the line. A chance for perfection, schedule wise anyway, would be within their grasp. It in fact is. But I wanted to see the Packers as the oppenents. I wanted Favre to mess everything up for New England. But the Packers could not pull off the deal and Eli will get a shot at the spoiler role.

8 & 8 Texans

I hope the Texans are satisfied with the break even record they achieved for the 2007 season. It left us all wanting more. The team made some progress, evne showed flashes of greatness in some of the young players. There is still lots of work to be done, improved secondary play, a top flight running back, more defensive line ability. But there is the fact that they are no longer losers!

Brett Favre Is Playing So Well

It is a joy to see the great Green Bay Packer quarterback have such a wonderful season. He is playing better than he has in many seasons. It must be a pleasure for him to have such a strong offensive line and enough quality skilled players around him to allow the team to keep winning. After their  Thanksgiving win over Detroit, the Pack is 10-1. I hope the Packers go to the Super Bowl.

The NCAA fans ore full of hope about their teams chances, but there is no where as much depth of devotion to teams as among the fans of the National Football League. There are people who are rabid fans of all teams in the NFL cities. But arguably the greatest fans are in the area of Washington D.C. Amobi!!!!!!!!!!

Amobi Okoye! This afternoon when the Minnesota Vikings drafted Oklahoma Sooners running back Adrian Peterson, I decided that if I had my way the Texans would draft defensive lineman Amobi Okoye, from Louisville. I had seen a special on him a few days ago and was totally impressed with him. He graduated from high school at 15. He went to Louisville and played so well they could not redshirt him. He finished college at only 19 and was taken by the Texans with the tenth pick of the draft. I hope he is able to play the game at the next level as well as he has done everything else in is young life!
