Destination Weddings

A recent web release about destination weddings made them sound very inviting. Resorts in exotic places like the Eldorado Royale in the Riviera Maya in Mexico offer wedding packages that include all the amenities, flowers, food, photography, not to mention the romantic settings for the ceremonies. The cost is very competitive with the cost of the traditional weddings back home, especially when also weighing the cost of the honeymoon as well!

It is a win win situation for both the bride and groom, as well as the resort owners. I believe as people hear about this option, more and more will take advantage.

Wedding Favors

As a minister who performs at least four or five weddings a year, I receive little gifts from the couples as tokens of their appreciation. My favorites are the personalized wedding favors that indicate the couple has given some thought to the gift. I have received cuff links and pen holder sets for my desk, books, tee shirts, and picture frames, for example. My favorite ever such gift is a red sweat band with my name embroidered on it in blue. It was meant as an inside joke that only the couple and I understood. I display it prominently in my office!

Weddings

I am going to a wedding tomorrow afternoon, and I hope it is as much fun as it has been watching the Bride get ready for the wedding.  She is trying to save money on their wedding so their by doing everything themselves.  She found the Internet Wedding Superstore online and was pleased to save lots of money on the supplies she was going to need for the wedding and reception to follow.   They carry every thing a wedding planner might need, from registration books to invitations, and even groomsmen and  bridesmaid gifts  that can be personalized. They saved my friend lots of anxiety!
